About The Role

F1, as part of its digital transformation, is building a small, multi-skilled digital advertising team to service sponsors, endemics, and agency partners.  Reporting to the Global Ad Sales Director, you will be the third employee in F1’s direct digital advertising sales team, driving a successful long term in-market digital media proposition for Formula 1. 

Our primary goal is to drive digital investment across our websites and social channels by delivering innovative, best in class media packages for our clients. You should be entrepreneurial, comfortable setting and defining your own agenda and goals, and a talented and thoughtful manager of people and clients.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and prioritise commercial opportunities for F1 and its portfolio of digital and social assets
  • Build and grow long term partnerships with international clients and agencies, focused on existing F1 team sponsors, car endemics (e.g., motor-oil, car manufacturers), and local endemic brands (e.g. tourism boards in F1 race cities)
  • Create valuable sales presentations leveraging F1 brand statements, insights, case studies and delivering maximum value to our clients
  • Work closely with ad revenue strategy and the advertising operations team to build compelling packages for advertisers
  • Work closely with the digital business development team to understand available social inventory and partnerships, and to build into sales propositions on an international scale
  • Work closely with the digital content team in conjunction with the Global Ad Sales Director to create compelling, branded content campaigns to pitch to potential partners
About You
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in digital advertising sales
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong business development skills and deep understanding of digital advertising business models
  • Deep relationships with international marketers and media agency planners and buyers – emphasis on the automotive sector is desirable
  • Incredibly strong presentation skills
  • A relationship builder: with a knack for winning friends and influencing people
  • Global market experience – multi-lingual a plus
  • An understanding of F1 and love of sports will be an advantage
