About The Role

Here at Formula 1, we are changing the way we talk to our fans and bring them closer than ever to the action.  We want them to see, hear and feel every twist and turn as we turn the corner on our B2B operations and Customer Experience team.  You can come and join us and help us achieve this by Project Managing the implementation of a new CRM. We want the right individual to personally take ownership of the delivery of our green field CRM. This is not the usual PM role simply because you “use” or “understand CRM” and have some PM experience.  We want a Formula 1 Fan to live and breathe our Formula 1 values and help shape the direction of the project!  We want a passionate person to join our passionate team.  Is this you?

We want someone with the right skills and approach to traditional waterfall delivery and Agile Project Management to provide the best solution possible. More than anything, this role requires an experienced CRM Project/ Programme Manager in providing B2B Sales CRM, marketing tools, customer service tools.   Above all you will have - a can do and will do attitude!

Time really is a key factor with our fans, especially during races. When customers and fans go unanswered, it looks like avoidance — or worse, indifference. When we have confusion between teams, this affects our brand.  Unemotional, inefficient and impersonal is not what we do.  Personal, emotional, urgent and practical is what we want and what our fans and teams demand.  We don’t want you to go through the motions, we want you to feel the teams pain and give them a CRM you would want to use yourself.

Formula 1 is known for speed and we need you to move fast on this.  That’s why we want you in our team within the next couple of weeks.

Main duties & responsibilities 
  • Define the CRM programme and governance of the programme
  • Work with stakeholders to refine and prioritise requirements into backlogs for delivery
  • Ensure that non-functional requirements are gathered and planned for
  • Guard against vague or poor quality direction from stakeholders by encouraging and helping stakeholders think through details and implications.
  • Evaluate requirements and translate visions and commercial goals into executable plans
  • Resolve conflicting expectations and priorities
  • Arrange status updates for relevant stakeholders via daily-stand-ups etc – used as checkpoints for project progress
  • Engage experts such as architects and designers alongside developers and users
  • Manage the input of 3rd parties, and effectively impart understanding on them
About You

Experience

  • At least 5 years SaaS CRM Project Management experience
  • You will have delivered at least 3 CRM Programmes /Projects from concept through to warranty
  • You are experienced in creating comms such as status, risks and issues, tailoring the updates for specific audiences and appropriately and managing these to successful closure
  • You will have planned, monitored and controlled projects and lead internal & external project teams and third parties through all phases of the product implementation lifecycle
  • You have substantial experience in managing stakeholders by creating effective trusted relationships
  • Experience of delivering projects in an agile environment in corporate organisations
  • Previously worked in Online/Digital/Media or Sports industries
  • Have worked in both big organisations and small companies or can handle an entrepreneurial environment
  • Have Strong vendor management skills to bring several parties together for complex integrations

  • Able to effectively communicate with specialists such as Engineers, developers, users and just as comfortable in front of the Senior Management as with individual contributors
  • Experience working with offshore development teams and vendors in an outsourced model

Essential Skills: 

  • Solid understanding of CRM software development practices and web/mobile/API/CRM technologies
  • Experience in an in house client-facing role.
  • Anticipate information needs, identify gaps and organise data and communications cohesively and clearly.
  • You are well versed in SCRUM and other Agile project management practices
  • Ability to communicate project progress to the project team, project sponsor and other stakeholders at appropriate intervals and exceptions.
  • Proficient in MS Project
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
