About The Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Technician to join our Track Systems department to help rig, commission and run our ground based systems at a number of Grand Prix events around the world.

Our Ground Based team set up antennas around the circuit which enables wireless communication from the race cars – allowing us to enjoy onboard camera footage, team radio and team telemetry etc.

The role is a mixture of both manual (including working at heights) and technical, and when you’re not travelling, you’ll be based in our Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill.

About You

You’re enthusiastic, eager to learn with a great work ethic.  You may currently be working within telecommunications or the military and be interested in a new challenge!  

You’re happy to get stuck in with heavy lifting, climbing and commissioning and decommissioning of antenna’s at heights alongside learning the technical side of our systems. 

You’re excited about the prospect of travelling to around 15 races per season and not phased about working long days and race weekends. 

You have:

  • A basic knowledge of computer networks
  • Great communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Experience of working with new Technical Systems
  • Experience working within a manual role e.g. rigging or installation
  • The ability to travel internationally – sometimes for up to 2 weeks at a time
