About The Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Technician to join our Track Systems department to help commission and run our ‘fibre optic backbone’ at a number of Grand Prix events around the world.

Our CCR (Circuit Communication Ring) team connect and maintain a large temporary fibre optic network and related transmission equipment around a circuit for the transport of broadcast and IP. 

The role is a mixture of both manual and technical, and when you’re not travelling, you’ll be based in our Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill.

About You

You’re enthusiastic, eager to learn with a great work ethic.  You may currently be working within telecommunications or broadcasting and be interested in a new challenge!  

You have an aptitude to fault finding using optical, video and IP networking tools, and are happy to get stuck into commissioning and de-commissioning our technical infrastructure.

You’re excited about the prospect of travelling to around 15 races per season and not phased about working long days and race weekends. 

You have:

·       A basic knowledge of computer networks

·       Great communication skills – both verbal and written

·       Experience of installation, wiring, configuring and troubleshooting of Technical Systems.

·       Experience working within a manual role e.g. rigging or installation

·       The ability to travel internationally – sometimes for up to 2 weeks at a time
